There's been another attempt to draw new district lines for Monroe County legislators.
Supporters say the latest proposed district map complies with the federal Voting Rights Act and assures minority representation in the legislature.
The map creates five majority-Black districts.
Democratic Legislator Rachel Barnhart says some other members of her party have supported maps with fewer majority-Black districts. She those maps would illegally dilute Black representation.
