Corning Incorporated has announced a $139 million expansion of its semiconductor operations at its Fairport location.
The expansion is expected to create 270 jobs.
Corning will also establish a new laser optics production facility in Gates by the end of 2023.
Empire State Development is giving Corning $5 million in tax credits.
Assistance from Monroe County and Greater Rochester Enterprise has not been disclosed.
