Mayor Malik Evans will announce a new Rochester Police Chief this morning.
A news conference is set for 9:30 at City Hall.
David Smith has been serving as interim chief since October.
The city hasn't had a permanent police chief since La'Ron Singletary was fired back in September 2020.
