State lawmakers have approved new laws protecting abortion access -- including a measure that protects New York abortion providers from professional discipline for providing abortions to women from states where abortion becomes illegal.
Another bill clears hurdles for out-of-state applicants to get licenses to perform abortions in New York. And another protects providers prescribing abortion medication to women out-of-state via telemedicine.
Governor Hochul says she looks forward to signing the bills.
