Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter says a man fired his gun inside a Henrietta restaurant, narrowly missing a deputy's head. Deputies were called to Carrabba's Italian Grill on West Henrietta Road around 7:40 p.m. for the report of a man armed with a gun inside behind the bar. Baxters said when deputies walked into the restaurant, Alonzo Jones, 33, shot at them. Deputies returned fire and took the man into custody. No one was struck. Baxter said 30-40 people were inside the restaurant when the incident happened. "A deputy was across the street at a motor vehicle accident, happened to be directly across the street, and minutes later, they're engaged in a potential fight for their life with a bunch of patrons running around, trying to enjoy dinner and enjoy their evening out," Baxter said. Jones is being held on aggravated assault and weapons charges. He is being held without bail.
