A Rochester man was sent to the hospital, after a shooting this afternoon on the city's southwest side.
The 41-year-old man was shot on Melrose Street, near Genesee Street, just after noon today.
His injuries were initially described as life-threatening, but police now say he will survive.
There are no arrests.
