Strong Hospital held a news conference today to outline plans to expand and modernize the hospital.
Plans call for an expanded emergency department, with 200 examination/treatment and patient observation stations and psychiatric emergency rooms.
Plans also call for a nine-story tower that would add 100 private inpatient rooms.
Hospital leaders say the multi-year project will dramatically change the appearance and patient care capacity of the hospital.
They also say it will mean expanded access to life-saving care and an improved patient experience.
