Monroe County's COVID death toll takes another big jump.
The health department says 30 more people have died of the virus between December 15 and January 12.
1,644 lives have been lost in the county since the pandemic began.
Hospitalizations have also increased to 741, up more than 50 from a week ago.
ICU patients declined a bit to 125.
Also good news: the case numbers continue their downward trend.
