Authorities say a woman was killed in a fire at a Rochester high rise.
It broke out around 11:30 last night on East Main Street, at the Winton Gardens apartments -- previously known as the Cedarwood Towers apartments.
Several tenants reported smelling smoke, and fire officials called a second alarm to bring in more manpower.
The woman was pulled out of a burning bedroom on an upper floor, but she died at the scene.
No one had to be evacuated from the building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
