Rochester police say the city's first homicide victim of 2022 is 14-year-old Julius Greer, Jr, who was shot in the back outside a store on North Street Sunday evening. Greer had been sent by his family to buy some noodles when he was shot just before entering the store. Investigators say gunfire also struck a parked car at the scene. They don't know if Greer was the intended target of the gunfire or not. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts.
