The Rochester City Council has a lot on its plate at tonight's meeting.
One agenda item would spend $13 million from the federal American Rescue Plan for renovations at the convention center.
Another $13 million would be used in the Upper Falls neighborhood to subsidize the development of up to 100 affordable single-family homes for first-time buyers.
The city also wants to try out a $2 million Guaranteed Basic Income program -- with $500 a month going to 175 households in each of the next two years.
And a resolution would direct the city to rename two city parks named for slaveholders and identify any other public places named for slaveholders.
