Rochester police say a driver under the influence of drugs slammed into a police car at a roadblock on Lake Avenue, injuring an officer.
It happened during the dinner hour last night near Cherry Road in Charlotte.
Police were investigating a two-car crash there when a southbound car on Lake Avenue failed to stop and hit the police cruiser while the officer was inside.
The officer is expected to recover. The driver was arrested by state police
