The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is monitoring a purported threat circulating at schools nationwide on social media and has found nothing credible here.
The threats on Snap Chat have shown up with similar language in schools in other parts of the state and the rest of the nation.
The Monroe Crime Analysis Center has heard nothing from local police agencies about any threats, but stay in contact with the FBI and New York State Police.
And the sheriff's office says it is working with local school districts to provide high visibility details at the schools.
