Republicans in the State Senate are asking Governor Hochul to take action to slow down rising prices at the gas pumps.
They want the governor to suspend the state's tax on fuel to save drivers some money.
The state currently has the ninth-highest gas tax in the country -- at just over 46-cents per gallon.
The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the state is three-46 a gallon.
