A Genesee County man is being held without bail for the murder of his father.
Thirty-seven Nicholas Maher of Oakfield is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 69-year-old Martin Maher.
Sheriff's deputies found the body yesterday when a relative asked them to check on the man's well-being.
The two men lived together at a home on Drake Street.
Nicholas was taken into custody in Erie County.
