The State University of New York says students are nearing full compliance with the state Vaccine Mandate.
99.5 percent of the students have either been vaccinated or have medical or religious exemptions.
Fewer than 1,600 students remain in noncompliance. That's down from 10,000 last month. The holdouts are mostly commuter students from some community colleges.
Campuses are working one-on-one with those students to get to 100 percent compliance.
