Rochester police say three people are in custody following a chase through the city.
Officers were near Norton Street and Portland Avenue yesterday to investigate a report of a man in a minivan with an AK-47.
After spotting the vehicle, police tried to stop it, but a chase began. At one point, someone in the van tossed a wrench and a fire extinguisher toward police vehicles -- but no officers were hurt.
The pursuit finally ended on East Avenue, and police believe one of the people they have in custody is connected to several other crimes.
