Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson says he's not resigning.
He said in a statement that county officials verbally asked him to resign this week, following scrutiny of the handling of certain internal HR and administrative matters in the sheriff's office.
Instead, Henderson says he wants to meet with the entire Board of Supervisors to discuss their concerns.
Henderson says Undersheriff David Frasca has voluntarily resigned.
Henderson says he encourages and supports an independent investigation of the allegations verbally laid out by the Board of Supervisors.
