Governor Kathy Hochul says she is working on getting the legal clearance for a COVID vaccine mandate for all school employees.
Employees who don't get the vaccine would have to have negative tests.
In remarks to local health officials today, Hochul also said the infection rate in the state is creeping up. But, for now, she says the number of available hospital beds is in "good shape".
