Authorities have released the name of the woman who was killed Saturday afternoon in a speed boat accident on Seneca Lake in Yates County.
All six family members aboard were thrown off the boat when it made a sudden turn at a high speed.
Sixty-five-year-old Cynthia Stuck, of Waterloo, was killed. The four other passengers were hurt.
The man driving the boat -- Michael Battley, of Seneca Falls -- was not not injured. None of the people on the boat had been wearing a life jacket.
The boat has been impounded and the sheriff's office is investigating the crash.
