Gates police have released the name of the woman killed in a head-on crash on Pixley Road.
Sixty-eight-year-old Anne Cooney of Gates was killed yesterday when her car heading north near Brook-Lea Country Club crossed into the southbound lane and hit an oncoming car.
The other driver wasn't seriously injured.
