The RPD has begun an internal investigation into a weekend arrest on Remington Street -- part of which was caught on citizen video.
It happened Saturday evening when police say officers spotted a man who was wanted for several felonies.
The video shows two men in plainclothes kicking the suspect as others held him down on the pavement.
Police say the suspect -- Jarvis Lewis -- struggled as police tried to arrest him, and he had an illegal gun.
He is charged with assault, resisting arrest, and gun and drug charges. A second man is charged with obstructing officers and resisting.
Body camera video is expected to be released early this week.
