Authorities say Wednesday's gun buyback event in Rochester collected 270 firearms.
The inventory included 20 assault rifles, 71 rifles and shotguns, 159 handguns, and 20 antique or non-working guns.
Citizens were able to surrender the guns, with no questions asked, in exchange for gift cards.
The state Attorney General's office says it was the biggest gun buyback collection in the history of the program in the city.
