An Irondequoit man is facing a second-degree murder charge in the beating death of 65-year-old Brighton resident Ted Boucher.
Police say 48-year-old suspect Christopher Wernle is accused of using a blunt object to kill him.
Police Captain Mark Jesske says it was not a random act and the two did know each other.
Boucher was reported missing last Friday and his Audi R8 sports car was found blocks from where his body was found the next day, in Wernle's backyard on Helendale Road.
Boucher was a former head of the family-owned window and door business, Caldwell Manufacturing.
Wernle was arrested last night and is being held without bail.
