Federal investigators have reportedly started an investigation of reports that state officials made it a priority to give COVID tests to Governor Cuomo's family and associates in the early days of the pandemic -- when tests were scarce.
"The Wall Street Journal" reports the new investigation is in addition to the ongoing federal probe into the state's handling of COVID at nursing homes.
It's being conducted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, and federal prosecutors reportedly contacted officials in the governor's office who worked on the testing program.
