A Rochester man is facing charges following an attempted robbery at a Monroe Avenue head shop, and a wild getaway.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jason Taylor is accused of trying to rob Ghost Dog Glass with a knife. He left without taking anything, but police say he stole a vehicle on Mt. Hope Avenue.
Officers spotted it later on University Avenue, and again on East Main, before Taylor crashed into another vehicle near the Inner Loop.
Taylor was caught running away. He and the other driver were injured. An officer had a minor injury.
Police say Taylor is the suspect in several other knife-point robberies in the area.
