State Senate Vote May Repeal Some of the Governor's Coronavirus Orders

The State Senate will vote today on a resolution to overturn some of Governor Cuomo's executive orders during the pandemic. One rule that could go away is a guideline requiring restaurants to serve food to customers who order an alcoholic beverage. Republicans are also calling for curfews that businesses have had to follow for several months to be eliminated. The Legislature gave the governor broad powers in the early days of the health crisis and he's used them to issue health and safety guidelines and also control what parts of the economy can be open.
