A police investigation is underway on Buell Road in Gates.
Sources tell our Bob Lonsberry that the a victim was shot during an apparent car jacking, and the victim has since died.
The scene is near the Red Roof Inn, and a section of Buell Road is shut down at this time.
A press conference is scheduled for later this afternoon where authorities say they will also address a recent string of stolen cars and vehicle robberies.
