The Rochester Fire Department was called out about a quarter-to-two this morning for a house fire near the corner of Taylor and Eddy Streets.
A fire had started on the first floor of a house and extended up to the attic.
Parts of the interior stairs and burned away, making it hard for firefighters to get at the flames from inside.
The house was under renovation and not currently occupied.
Nobody was hurt, and the cause is under investigation.
