Rochester school Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small says enrollment in the district is still falling.
She is proposing cutting 36 full-time positions as part of her budget proposal for the next school year.
The budget is $980 million -- up more than 5-and-a-half percent over the current budget.
Enrollment fell by 2,600 students in the past year, and Myers-Small says the proposal helps the district shift the focus from fiscal stability to academic performance.
