Rochester Man Gets 22 Years in Prison for Irondequoit Robbery

A Rochester man has been sentenced to nearly 22 years in federal prison for an armed robbery at a mobile phone store in Irondequoit.

Forty-nine-year-old Troy McCullough was convicted of robbery and brandishing and carrying a firearm during a crime of violence.

Federal prosecutors say he and his co-defendants robbed an AT&T store on East Ridge Road at gunpoint on December 3, 2019.

McCullough was wearing a mask and gloves, pointed a gun at a store employee, and ordered him to open the safe.

The theft netted 32 phones, but McCullough was arrested a short time later at an address on Champlain Street and the phones were recovered.
