Everyone in a home on Edenfield Rd in Penfield, including the family dog, escaped safely after a fire caused heavy damage to their residence.
Crews responding just before 7pm to find the fire, which started in the garage, had spread to the house by the time they arrived.
The home sustained extensive damage.
