Governor Cuomo has signed an executive order directing local health departments report the number of school teachers and school staff who have been vaccinated to the state health department upon request.
The order repeals a requirement that schools ask teachers to report that information.
The governor's order doesn’t address whether individual school districts will have to report the number of staff vaccinated in their schools or if the information will be made public.
The form and manner of how the health departments will report the information will be determined at a later date.
