UPDATE: Rochester police have released the name of the city man who was shot to death on a street in the Maplewood neighborhood.
Twenty-one-year-old Jordan Reen was gunned down outside Lapham Street, off Lake Avenue, yesterday morning.
Police learned a woman was hiding in a closet in the house and were concerned the shooter was inside, too.
A SWAT team searched the house and found the woman, but not the gunman.
Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
Earlier: Rochester police have blocked off a number of streets in the Maplewood neighborhood for what they say is an active investigation.
There was a report of a person shot around 7:30 this morning near Lapham and Lake avenues.
But police aren't able to say anything about the person's condition, and the shooter has not been apprehended.
Police are advising people to stay away from the area for now.
