Senator Chuck Schumer is joining the call for a federal investigation into two recent military helicopter crashes -- including the crash last month in Mendon that killed three National Guardsmen.
He’s also calling for an audit by the Government Accountability Office.
Schumer cited a December report from the National Commission on Military Aviation Safety, which found budgetary and administrative issues that resulted in lost lives and wrecked aircraft.
