Governor Cuomo is getting more heat from members of his own party about the nursing home deaths.
Nine Democrats in the state Assembly signed a letter accusing Cuomo of obstructing justice by withholding the death numbers during hearings last August. The letter was prompted by the revelation last week by Cuomo's top aide that the administration deliberately withheld the numbers from lawmakers.
The governor has denied there was a cover-up and says lawmakers were told why the data was withheld.
The letter also calls for the repeal of the governor's emergency powers.
