The Mendon farmer who owns the field where the National Guard helicopter crashed last week has created a temporary memorial there.
Marvin Vahue and his friends put up three American flags at half-staff, to honor the three soldiers who were killed.
Also visible is a silhouette of a kneeling soldier who is praying for the men.
The memorial is visible along West Bloomfield Road.
The Black Hawk medical evacuation helicopter crashed Wednesday evening during a training mission.
Meanwhile, a state police procession is set for today for two of the three soldiers killed when their National Guard helicopter crashed last week in Mendon.
The procession will leave from the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office and head to Fort Drum in Watertown.
The procession will travel up 590 North, then take 490 East to the Thruway -- and then head east to I-81 north.
