Monroe County's Heroin Task Force is out with the year-end overdose numbers for 2020.
The overall number of overdoses for the year was 726, down from 839 the year before.
But the year-over-year number of FATAL overdoses rose from 127 to 137.
Addiction service advocates had been concerned during 2020 that the pandemic might keep addicts away from agencies that can help them.
