Greece Police say a suspicious death investigation is now a homicide investigation. Police identified the victim as 36-year-old Ottilia Piros.
She was found shot to death in the kitchen of her home on West Parkway after police went to the home for a check the welfare call. She had been shot in the head.
No arrests have been made at this time, but Greece Police Chief Drew Forsythe says investigators are working around the clock.
Forsythe says they believe the incident occured sometime on Monday. Police say they aren't ready to speak on a possible motive in the case or if they have any persons of interest.
