New leadership is coming to Monroe Community College.
The SUNY Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. DeAnna Burt-Nanna as MCC's sixth president.
She currently serves as the Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs for South Central College, a unit of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
She will take over for Dr. Katherine Douglas who has been serving as interim president this year following the departure of Dr. Anne Kress who left to take a job at Northern Virginia Community College.
Dr. Burt-Nanna’s appointment is effective May 21, 2021. Her appointment was also approved by MCC Board of Trustees.
