The New York State Thruway Authority says a toll rate hike has been approved for the coming year.
New toll rates for drivers without E-Z pass will go into effect on January 1st and will be increased by 30%.
Those who have E-Z Pass will not be impacted.
Thruway tolls have not been adjusted since 2010.
