The Democrat and Chronicle is reporting that the Monroe County DA’s office issued a subpoena and searched the Monroe County Democratic Committee office.
Following the search, the DA’s office reportedly seized records and a computer from the building.
Back in the Fall the Democratic Committee chose a new team of officers to lead the party and attempt to heal the divide between party factions.
In recent months, the party had been split over several issues including the selection of a new elections commissioner and the Democratic caucus in the county legislature split into two groups.
