The Monroe County Health Department is reporting the biggest single-day number of new COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began.
The Monroe County Health Department is recording 300 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 24-hours. There were two additional deaths to report, bringing the death toll to 309.
The 7-day rolling average of new cases now stands at 227 new cases per day and the county positivity rate is now at 4.34%
Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza says since Monday, the county has added more COVID-19 cases than it did in the entire month of September.
