A murder case from more than a year ago has been solved with the arrest of two parolees.
Rochester Police say 31-year-old Alton Carelock was fatally shot outside 18 Mohawk Street back in June of 2019. A Monroe County Grand Jury this week indicted Keith Rodney and Ronnell Weaver on charges of second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the crime.
Both Rodney and Weaver were free on parole at the time Carelock was killed, Rodney on Probation from another crime. Rodney has been in jail since being rearreted in July on a weapon charge. Weaver was arrested for a parole violation and also on a weapon charge. He was released in July, but rearrested this week after the indictment was issued.
