A man has been shot by a parole officer outside a Canandaigua motel this morning.
Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson says the officer believed the man was trying to hit him with his car outside the Woodridge Motel near Canandaigua Lake.
Henderson also says the man was arrested Monday and then released.
The man then met the parole officer at the motel around 8 o'clock, when the incident happened.
The parolee is in stable condition at Strong Hospital.
