Greece Cuts Ribbon on Phase 1 of Library Project

The Town of Greece cut the ribbon this afternoon on the first phase of its library expansion; a new lobby and entrance for the library, plus an expanded service area. Work is still underway on a 6,500 square foot expansion of the children’s library, which will make it the biggest in Monroe County.

Supervisor Bill Reilich says although the Greece library is only 20 years old, libraries have changed so much over those 20 years that the renovations were needed to keep up.

The total of both projects is more than $160 million. The library serves more than 300,000 people a year with services including computer use and 3D printing as well as books and videos.
