The CEOs of the largest movie theater chains in the world are pleading with Governor Andrew Cuomo to let them reopen in parts of the state with low COVID infection rates.
The letter was signed by a dozen theater CEOs, including AMC, Cineworld and Cineplex.
They say the New York market is so influential to the movie businesses, that many movie studios are opting to hold off on releasing movies until theaters are open again.
The CEOs say their theaters are not as dangerous as indoor dining because people are quiet as they watch a movie.
