It's shaping up to be a big week at the George Eastman Museum on East Avenue.
The ribbon will be cut Thursday morning for the new visitor center, named for patron Thomas Tischer.
The museum is closed for the final preparations. A members-only day is set for Friday. And the public opening will happen Saturday.
The museum is installing a reproduction of one of the famed Kodak Coloramas next to the visitor center. It's a 48-foot wide replica of a Colorama that was displayed decades ago at New York's Grand Central Terminal
