State Live Music Restrictions Overturned

A judge has overturned the state liquor authority's pandemic restrictions on live music at bars and restaurants.

Under regulations announced this summer, only "incidental" music is allowed while people eat -- and performers can't advertise their appearances.

The purpose is to limit crowd size and limit the spread of the coronavirus -- but the judge ruled the regulations are unconstitutional.

The state liquor authority hasn't said whether it will appeal.
