A machine at the Pfaudler Company plant on West Avenue caught fire this afternoon, with flames spreading to a number of pallets and the two story roof.
The Rochester Fire Department says a hydraulic line on the machine burst and the escaping oil ignited. Firefighters had to use foam to douse the flames. All occupants got out of the building before firefighters arrived. Damage to the building was extensive and is still being determined.
